We are an independent children's online bookstore based in Taiwan, specialising in English picture books for children ages 0 to 8.  

We believe stories are the heart of raising kind and resilient children, which is why each book has been personally read by us before recommending it to you. 

Quality matters more than quantity when it comes to reading - hence we hope that our thoughtfully curated collection help ignite imagination, nurture learning, bring parents and children closer through the joy of reading together. 

Why the name Wah Books?

“Wah” is an expression of delight or surprise. 

In Mandarin, it’s 哇！

When kids receive a new book, I’d always imagine that their first reaction would be, "Wah! Such a beautiful book."

"Wah" is also an endearing word to me because it's also a Singlish (Singapore English slang) term, which reminds me of home.

Hello, I'm Jane !

Originally from Singapore, I moved from one sunny island to another and met my husband while working in Taiwan. As an avid reader, I noticed a lack of independent English children’s bookstores in Taiwan. Hence, I was inspired to create Wah Books. I wanted to provide a platform where parents could explore the English language through engaging stories and imaginative tales.
